Might need to get new violin tuning pegs too. For those who might not know what a violin tuning peg is, it’s the four pegs found just below the scroll. Two on the left and two on the right; four pegs for each violin string; the lower strings G and D on the two left pegs, and the A and E on the two right pegs. Each violin peg has a small needle-hole at the tip where its respective violin string is inserted for winding.
The violin tuning pegs that are wound when there are major tuning adjustments to be made. Violin players like me are very careful not to dislodge these pegs. A slight maladjustment can cause major differences in pitch and tuning in my violin. So, you might have to be extra careful when tuning your violin.
